General description
This cabin-sloop is a unique example built by the renowned lifeboat builder Mulder & Rijke from IJmuiden and is in very nice condition. The Mulder & Rijke 800 Cabin is a very good sailing sloop, even on bigger water. The hull is from 1984 and the boat is completely overhauled in 2000. Strong 4 cylinder diesel engine with intercooling (2000) and new bow thruster (2020). The boat runs fast and sails straight (even with the steering wheel loose). Air draft 1.35 meters. The beautiful sturdy polyester hull was originally built as a lifeboat (year of construction unknown), the paneling with Oregon Pine and mahogany is beautifully executed with great attention to detail such as the used mostly copper fittings. A noteworthy detail is for example the exhaust of the stove which is processed in the Geuzen flagpole. Beautiful copper portholes with mosquito nets and blackout blinds, the round seat in the cabin is also a large double bed, toilet and kitchenette with 2 burner stove and built in cooler with compressor. Various 12V and 220V sockets, shore power with ground fault and battery charger, steering wheel with stainless steel swivel driver's seat behind it, beautiful cockpit cushions, recent convertible top which can also be used as a bimini top, various deck covers, The engine mount attached to mirror is ideal for the use of an electric motor for example.
